📖 About the University
Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) is a leading technical entrepreneurial university in Malaysia, established in 2002 under Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA). With its main headquarters in Kuala Lumpur and multiple specialised institutes across Peninsular Malaysia, UniKL focuses on producing highly skilled graduates to meet the needs of industry and the nation’s economic development.
UniKL offers a wide range of programmes from foundation and diploma to bachelor’s and postgraduate degrees, particularly in engineering, technology, applied sciences, business and management. The university works closely with industry partners to integrate practical training, industrial attachments and real-world projects into its curriculum.
Today, UniKL has more than 30,000 students across its campuses, including several hundred international students, and has produced over 37,000 graduates. In global rankings, UniKL is placed in the 1201–1400 band of the QS World University Rankings reflecting its growing reputation as Malaysia’s premier higher technical and vocational education and training (HTVET) university.
