Diploma in Culinary Arts

The Diploma in Culinary Arts at City University Malaysia is designed for students who want to develop a strong foundation in professional cooking, food preparation, kitchen operations, and hospitality practices.

The programme combines hands-on kitchen training with theoretical learning, helping students build practical culinary skills while gaining an understanding of food safety, kitchen organisation, service standards, and professional hospitality environments.

Diploma Admission Requirements

• To apply for a Diploma programme, applicants are required to provide the following documents and meet the relevant admission requirements:

Academic Documents

• High School Graduation or Completion Certificate.
• High School Certificate.
• Grade 12 / Final Year academic transcript or detailed results.
• Grade 10 / First Year of High School certificate and/or transcript.
• Grade 11 / Second Year of High School certificate and/or transcript.
• Applicants must meet the minimum academic grades required for their selected Diploma programme.
• Some programmes may require specific subjects at high school level, such as Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.

Personal Documents

• A clear copy of the passport with at least 18 months of validity.
• A recent **35 × 45 mm** passport-size photograph with a white background.

English Language Requirements

• A recognised English language qualification such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Cambridge English, or Linguaskill, depending on the university and programme requirements.
• A **Medium of Instruction (MOI) Letter** may be submitted as proof that the applicant's previous education was conducted in English.
