Foundation in Arts (English)

This programme is designed for students with an interest in English language, literature, and the humanities, providing a strong academic foundation for further study in related fields.

Students explore key areas such as linguistics, communication, literature, and cultural studies, while developing a deeper understanding of how language is used in academic, social, and professional contexts.

The programme also helps students strengthen essential skills in critical thinking, communication, language teaching, analysis, and cultural awareness. Upon completion, students will be well prepared to continue their studies or pursue future opportunities in education, language studies, communication, and other humanities-related fields.

Foundation Admission Requirements

• To apply for a Foundation programme, applicants are required to provide the following documents and meet the relevant admission requirements:

Academic Documents

• High School Graduation or Completion Certificate.
• High School Certificate.
• Grade 12 / Final Year academic transcript or detailed results.
• Grade 10 / First Year of High School certificate and/or transcript.
• Grade 11 / Second Year of High School certificate and/or transcript.
• Applicants must meet the minimum academic grades required for their selected Foundation programme.
• Some Foundation programmes may require specific subjects at high school level, such as Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, depending on the selected academic pathway.

Personal Documents

• A clear copy of the passport with at least 18 months of validity.
• A recent **35 × 45 mm** passport-size photograph with a white background.

English Language Requirements

• A recognised English language qualification such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Cambridge English, or Linguaskill, depending on the university and programme requirements.
• A **Medium of Instruction (MOI) Letter** may be submitted as proof that the applicant's previous education was conducted in English.
