📖 About This Course
The Bachelor in Digital Film Technology (Honours) at Lincoln University College is designed to develop students’ creative, technical, and production skills in the field of digital filmmaking. The programme introduces students to the main areas of film production, including cinematography, video editing, sound design, visual effects, screenwriting, film directing, and digital content production. Students will learn how to use modern filmmaking tools and software while developing storytelling, visual communication, and production planning skills. Through practical projects, workshops, and industry-based learning, graduates will be prepared for careers in film, television, advertising, digital media, animation, and post-production.
✅ Entry Requirements
Applicants may be accepted with one of the following qualifications:
Pass STPM with at least Grade C / CGPA 2.00 in any two subjects; or
Pass STAM with at least Jayyid; or
Matriculation or Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; or
Diploma Level 4 MQF with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; or
Advanced Diploma Level 5 MQF with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; or
DKM / DVM / DLKM qualifications subject to approval by Lincoln University College; or
Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian Government.
Applicants may also be required to pass an interview or submit a student portfolio, depending on the university’s requirements.
For international students, English competency is required. The university lists MUET Band 3 or an equivalent level such as CEFR Low B1. The official FAQ also mentions IELTS 5.5 or equivalent as an example of English proficiency.
