Diploma in Computer Science

The Diploma in Computer Science at Lincoln University College is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in computer applications, programming, and software development. The programme introduces students to key areas of computing such as web design, operating systems, database systems, data communications, networking, system analysis, software engineering, and programming languages such as C++ and Java. Students will also develop problem-solving, technical, and practical skills that prepare them for entry-level positions in the IT industry or for further study in a related degree programme.

Applicants are required to have SPM or an equivalent qualification with at least three (3) credits in any subjects, including Mathematics, or any other relevant qualification recognized by the Malaysian Government or Lincoln University College.

Applicants may also be considered through other accepted pathways such as STPM, STAM, SKM Level 3 in a related field, Certificate Level 3 with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, or other equivalent qualifications. Candidates with a credit in computing-related subjects may be given additional consideration.

For English requirements, students should achieve MUET Band 3 or an equivalent English qualification such as CEFR Mid B1. For international students, IELTS 5.0 or an equivalent qualification is commonly listed. Students who do not meet the English requirement may be required to take English proficiency courses before or during the programme.
