Conversion to PhD

Students enrolled in the research degree may apply to upgrade to a PhD programme upon meeting the following criteria:

• Demonstrate excellent progress in their research work.
• Show clear potential for their research to be expanded to PhD level.
• Successfully pass a comprehensive assessment.

Upon successful conversion, students will transition from a research degree to a PhD programme. Their PhD candidature will be backdated to their original enrolment date, allowing them to complete the PhD within a shorter duration.
